There are 3 kinds of people in the world that use PC's, the kind that understand programs and coding, the kind that is easily influenced by popular belief, and the kind that don't understand how to make an email address (me).
There are other categories, etc etc, and it comes down to gamers.
The Gamer: Fast system with minimal background tasks, Windows XP 2003 or later recommended. (factory cpu costs, about $1000 usd, or US dollars)
The Economist: Average System with high security, Windows Vista 32-bit or 64-bit. (factory cpu costs, around $600-$800 usd)
The Programmer: Multiple systems, cheap XP cpu's for widespread sale of upgrades, old Win 95, 98, and 2000 systems for testing, 2000 for XP compatibility tests. (Final costs, $2000-4000 usd depending on company funding, then again you know what systems you need right?)
The Average Person: Basic cpu, preferably XP 2003 and later. ($400-600 usd, higher cost=stronger cpu plus better responses, etc.)
Thanks for reading!
